During the She Speaks conference this year, Heather told us her story at dinner one night. When she was through, Stephanie declared, "You're a gutsy girl!"
And just like that, the name stuck in our vocabulary. We use it to describe women who live with courage, authenticity, and grace. They make a difference for the Kingdom in their own wonderful way (and often don't even fully realize it).
If you're here, we're guessing you're a Gutsy Girl.
And we'd love for you to meet some other Gutsy Girls too…
Especially Heather - Living courageously with cancer
The Non-Superwoman Chronicles – Perfectly imperfect in every way
Andi Hays – Letting God call her name again
Katie (Amazima) – Caring for 400 children a continent away
Kristin – Choosing to trust as a widow and single mom
Some of our (in)courage contributors have also been especially brave on their own blogs this week…
Amber – Sharing her secret so others can heal
Kristen – Getting honest about being wounded in ministry
Your turn – Who's a Gutsy Girl to you?
Remember the (in)courage t-shirt giveaway ends August 16th at midnight!

My dear friend Carly at “To write their names in the Sand.” A woman using her grief at losing her son to provide comfort to others.

Don’t you want to be even more sold out for Jesus? Reading the faith-stories of these women make me wildly nod my head yes!
Thank you, Gutsy God-girls…
You shine Jesus-hope!
All’s grace and so grateful….

Thank you for the fabulous links. My friend Tara who write at http://www.gigglesandgulps.com also has a ministry called Out of the Valley. She shares openly about her battles with Postpartum Mood Disorders and I found so much comfort through her writings when I was struggling with PPMD a ew years ago.

What an encouragement to simply be together here, in a place like this! There are so many gusty girls out there, women who dare to simply walk in obedience to Christ-even when it makes absolutely no sense. I think of my dearest friend who, together with her husband, took a step (and a move) to plant a church. I’m honored to be on the journey with such an amazing woman.

“courage, authenticity, and grace”… What a perfect mantra to keep close at heart.
I just recently came across this:

The amazing thing is that I went to high school with her husband and only recently learned of her story. She’s a gutsy girl.

Oh what an honor to have a post about my guts! LOL.. 😉
I am so not brave, and it is only by His strength that I get out of bed each day to face my life…and boy has it been a rough life.
He is the one that makes me have guts!

Sounds to me like we need a T-Shirt made. I am slowly being transformed to a “gutsy girl” and I would wear a T-Shirt proclaiming it in a minute. I’ve lived on the other side and I don’t ever want to go back.
